Fantastic product! You can definitely tell the difference from the cheaper options. And the service is top notch. I was able to update my shipping address very easily through the service email.

Installed it in my xbox OG, pretty straight forward job. Removing old port was more difficult but not impossible. Works very well and produce nice and crosp HD signal. Iwired up all ground points.

Works as advertised. Great output image quality. Good quality design.

I bought an ElectronXout with the intention of giving it to a friend (I was lucky enough to get a Chimeric adapter, the top device in my photo of the adapters, when those were still being made), and I've briefly tested it in the meantime. For starters, the video quality is every bit as good as everyone says it is. I can't tell any difference between the Chimeric (which uses a custom analog-to-digital converter tuned to the Xbox's clock frequency) and the ElectronXout. I don't know why other manufacturers can't seem to figure out the analog-to-digital conversion aspect of Xbox HDMI adapters, but the maker of the Chimeric figured it out, and so has Electron Shepherd; you won't find another adapter that can output a video signal as clean as these two. As for the audio, if you've seen the "Special Instructions" section of this product's listing, you'll know that Electron Shepherd recommends enabling Dolby Surround, but disabling Dolby Digital and DTS, claiming that the latter two won't work. I tested Dolby Digital anyway, using ESPN NFL 2K5 and Forza Motorsport (I included a photo of the former), and shockingly, it worked. Maybe Electron Shepherd's recommendations are left over from an older version of the adapter (the early revisions genuinely did have audio issues), or maybe Dolby Digital doesn't work on other games, but in the case of the two games I tested, I can't tell a difference in the surround sound effects between the ElectronXout and the Chimeric (which always supported Dolby Digital and DTS) with Dolby Digital engaged. In summary, the ElectronXout is the only original Xbox HDMI adapter that's worth your money, and that will remain the case unless the Chimeric reenters production, or another manufacturer finally gets the hang of it.

After having used my old Xbox for a few years with the standard cables, it was even better than I expected to have resolution options up to 1080i. Seeing the UIX Lite dash in glorious 720p is great, and the higher signal quality has made games much prettier and more playable. While I'm probably going to upgrade to a proper HDMI mod when the Open XHD comes out, this is working great in the meantime and is a cost-effective, small option for those who don't want to deal with an intense mod like that.

Awesome adapter af, used to have the 10$ autoutlet one before.
Autoutlet one had video stutter problems occassionally, odd audio high tones distortions, and other weird shit compared to what I got used to with the OG wii cables
It was bearable tho.

Thought to upgrade to this, this one is worth the price considering the video is smooth, and AS ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE color-wise, unlike the autoutlet one that made all over saturated and BLUE tinted for some reason.

its great for making my wii FINALLY NORMAL, so we praise how clean this one is except 1 thing.

In the beginning I THOUGHT the colors were dim, but after comparing the before and after, i realized the cheaper autoutlet one made all over saturated and in its own cheap way, kinda made me adapt to it.

so i opened my TV plasma LG's settings and turns out putting all back to NORMAL made the adapter seem nice and pretty NEUTRALLY NORMAL in tint and color, thus in the end its perfectly alright.

my wii now has better quality, clean sound and no artifacts, so you bet i'll leave a review.

It was really really good.
Now I can use this for my my gameplay videos to my youtube channel.

i used this mod on a gbs control after having trouble with compatibility with the HDMI VGA converter i was using temporarily. I heard about the HDMI Mod from Macho Nacho on youtube and think it made a much cleaner solution to add native HDMI to the project. With how small the board is i was able to mount it using some m2 standoffs to the orginal GBS8200 board using the unpopulated VGA port which worked great for my set up. s previously said i had trouble getting as alternative controller to work with some of my consoles through the GBS control when using an alternative controller but this worked straight away and with noticeably less interference on the picture/ with how simple it is to fit i can't recommend it enough. (I know there is a dedicated GBS control HDMI mod available as well from Electron Sheppard but my board revision in not compatible so i opted for the generic version)

Amazing product! Worked immediately! Ive been having issues with the video signal cutting in and out while using component cables running through a cheap Component-HDMI converter and when trying to figure out a fix, i came across the ElectronXout. This little device completely fixed the issue! I will be getting the one for the Wii as well as for the PlayStation 2 when that one is back in stock! Thank you Electron Shepherd!

So glad that this thing just WORKS. I’ve owned so many component/VGA converters and it was always a mess of cables— the simplicity & quality of using the Xbox Xout is the BEST

So just like the PS2 Phat, I have installed this into my Dreamcast, and it's amazing how good it looks.
I have also put together a diagram to help others, and as you can see, I removed the serial port, as I never used it anyway.

Purchased this to play PS2 through HDMI and I couldn’t be happier the picture quality is amazing , huge upgrade from the standard cables .
