My name is Shane Kent and I run Electron Shepherd LLC. I’m an electrical engineer by trade, and I’ve been passionate about electronics since I was 16. What started with a high school elective eventually led me to study Computer Engineering and focus my career in electrical design.

The first console I ever modded was an Xbox 360, just to change the color of the ring light. That small project unlocked a world of creativity, and years later, I built my first HDMI converter for the Original Xbox—a product that was quickly embraced by that community.

I launched Electron Shepherd in 2021 with one goal: build high-quality, thoughtfully engineered video converters that improve the retro gaming experience. I design and ship all products from the San Francisco Bay Area, just outside the heart of the famed Silicon Valley! This is a part-time passion project, not a mass-produced operation—and I believe that shows in the final product.

At Electron Shepherd, I don’t cut corners. Every detail is carefully considered, and I’m always improving based on your feedback. If you’re here, I hope it means you care about doing things the right way too.
