Size: 25.15mm x 34.15mm

Video Input:  RGBHS or YPbPr
Audio Input: Analog or SPDIF Audio
Video Output: HDMI
Latency: Less than 1ms

This tiny, power-packed module takes in a VGA or Component signal (depending on the version) and outputs an HDMI signal with an embedded analog or SPDIF audio front-end for use in your smallest of projects.  This design is a higher quality, smaller, and more efficient version of the widely available analog-to-digital modules that are available online.  If you are not happy with those modules, then you will absolutely be happy with these.

The VGA-input mode can accept any resolution from VGA to UXGA and does not provide any internal scaling of the image. The Component-input mode can accept any resolution video signal up to 1080p60 and does not provide any internal scaling of the image.

This board can take in either SPDIF or analog audio. The SPDIF audio format can be Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and it is embedded over the video output for use with any surround sound system connected to your TV.

This device typically consumes <300mA in all use cases; however, you should test this design in your system before designing a specific regulator.

  • Supports 480i/p, 576i/p, 720p25/30/50/60, 1080i50/60, 1080p24/25/30/50/60.
  • Supports RGB graphics from VGA to UXGA

Please be aware that these boards contain components that are sensitive to ESD strikes.  Be sure to handle these using proper ESD handling techniques.

Latency

We used a Time Sleuth to measure the latency that this module adds during its analog-to-digital conversion.

All measurements were done with a 7" Loncevon HDMI monitor with the Time Sleuth output resolution set to 1080p @ 60Hz.

Fixed after help

I bought it for PS2 after MachoNacho's video, did everything as in the video but nothing worked, I contacted support and they helped me, they said that it is better to take 5v power from USB. I did so - everything worked. The picture is simply magical, without upscalers on a 4K TV it looks decent and colorful, not to mention 24 inches 1080p. Thanks for the great product!!!

Having issues with making it work (PS2 Slim 7500)

I imagine this is a great mod however I cannot get to to display a picture from my PS2 Slim 7500. I checked and all the connections are correct, and I'm taking 5v from the USB port within the console. I don't know if others have had this issue or how to properly trouble shoot it.

(rated 4 stars because I know this product works, I just don't know how to make it work on my console. Which is my fault not the device's)

ElectronAnalog installation into a PS2 slim

I ordered an ElectronAnalog for testing purposes and I am delighted with the result. A clear purchase recommendation from me. I just couldn't find any information on the Internet on how to feed the digital audio signal from the PS2 into the ElectronAnalog. Where do I have to take the signal from on the motherboard? Surely that should work? Best regards from Germany.

Amazing Product for the Price

The ElectronAnalog provides great video quality for a simple Analog to Digital converter. I purchased a few of these to implement HDMI output on some of my "retro" consoles(PS2,XBOX,Wii,etc.) All the points are properly labeled, making it easy to find where to solder. Configuring between YPbPr/RGB or SPDIF/Analog is easy as well, simply by bridging jumpers. Overall a great product, which I will be ordering more of.

This thing is great. The AV port on my old PS2 fat was completely ruined, and now the console is usable again with the help of the electronanalog. Super straightforward to connect :)

Hello, I'm very satisfied, but it's a shame that I had to pay customs fees again and therefore had to pick it up.

I had actually already paid customs fees. I order from many other countries and I didn't have this problem there.
